Based on their qualifications and questionnaire responses, BiggerPictureForWake believes the following BOE candidates will foster an atmosphere of productive debate and sound decisions for Wake County schools:
District 3, Kevin Hill;
District 4, Keith Sutton;
District 5, Jim Martin;
District 6, Christine Kushner;
District 8, Susan Evans.

We appreciation all the BOE candidates who took time out of their hectic schedules to respond to the questionnaire: Susan Evans; Kevin Hill; Christine Kushner; Heather Losurdo; Jim Martin; Cynthia Matson; Keith Sutton; Mary Ann Weathers; and Donna Williams. All candidates responces confirmed that we need a cohesive Wake School Board willing to listen and learn from one another by encouraging healthy debate.  We have learned during the past two years, divisiveness is counterproductive. This year’s BOE election is an opportunity to select members that can come to the table willing to appreciate and learn from one another’s differences.

Learn as much as possible about the BOE candidates and vote in the Oct. 11 election. For further information about voting, visit the Wake County Board of Elections website. The new roster of Board of Education members will need to unite the Wake County community and stimulate a healthy conversation that will ensure academic success for all students.
