Wake County Public School System Leaders4Wake Internship Program :

A multidisciplinary internship program for university undergraduate and graduate students with experiences  they can apply to future positions in education or other careers.

"Leaders4Wake will provide university students a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills and work with the leadership team of our school district," said Superintendent Tony Tata. "Talent is our region's most valuable asset. We will be able to tap into the unparalleled resources of the university and college students in our community and help our next generation's leaders see the critical importance of our education system to our children and our community."

The Leaders will work directly with members of the Superintendent's Leadership Team and attend team workshops. They will participate in leadership and professional development workshops. They will work on projects critical to the school system's daily operations.

Leaders4Wake is an unpaid internship, though students will gain experience and knowledge they can use in their current field of study. Students may receive approval from their college or university for use of the program as credit hours.

You can find more information on Leaders4Wake online at http://www.wcpss.net/leaders4wake/
